Oscar Santiago

My art education started in High School with strong academic training at the School of Industrial Arts. It was not until my adult years that I picked up my love for art again when I enrolled at The Reilly League of Artists Inc. where I studied drawing and painting in academic realism. I have always been inspired by masters like Rembrandt, Velazquez, Sorolla, and Sargent.

In all my paintings, I use traditional oil painting techniques, keeping my brush strokes free and colors vibrant. In additional to the many works in Private Collections throughout the Tri-state area, I find time to participate in group and juried exhibitions. When not painting in my studio, I enjoy the challenge of painting the many beautiful sights of Long Island
