Dominique Treboux
Dominique lives on Eastern Long Island. She spends a great deal of time walking the beaches observing the interplay of light, water, and sand. Working predominantly with pastels and oils, Dominique is interested in using color to express the essence of ordinary and extraordinary seascapes.
I work mostly in pastels and oils. Much of my inspiration comes from walking the shoreline, east to west, starting in the Mt. Sinai – Port Jefferson’s salt marsh and ending in Port Jefferson’s Pirates’ Cove. My preference is large pieces in which I strive to capture the feel and color of seascapes, the ordinary and extraordinary.
